Symptom #8: Hypotension

Hypotension refers to low blood pressure that occurs mostly in the arteries. Blood pressure refers to the force where blood pushes against the arterial wall as the heart is pumping blood. Hypotension can be defined as having a systolic blood pressure less than 90 mmHg or diastolic blood pressure less than 60 mmHg.

In practice, blood pressure is only thought to be low if the individual exhibits symptoms. It can also be a sign of good fitness and health especially for those who exercise regularly. Hypotension can be seen in anemia, side effect of medications, heart issues, and shock. In septicemia, hypotension occurs due to shock.
