Symptom #6: Vomiting
Vomiting, throwing up, emesis, or puking occurs when there is a forceful and involuntary expulsion of stomach contents through the mouth and nose. It is a common and nonspecific symptom seen in ailments such as food poisoning, gastritis, brain tumors, motion sickness, and gastroenteritis. It may or may not be preceded by nausea.
It can be managed using antiemetics, which help to suppress the vomiting. Severe vomiting can lead to dehydration which may necessitate intravenous fluids. Vomiting is one of the earlier symptoms seen in septicemia.
