Symptom #9: Nausea and Vomiting
Nausea is a feeling of discomfort and unease in the stomach which causes an involuntary urge to vomit. Vomiting, also known as puking, barfing, throwing up or emesis, is the involuntary expulsion of the contents of the stomach orally. Another non-specific symptom, it can be caused by a variety of causes such as food poisoning, motion sickness, medication, pain, stress, overeating, concussion, or infections.
Affected patients should be kept hydrated and solid food should be avoided until the episode of vomiting is over. Medication can also help in alleviating nausea and vomiting.
