Symptom #4: Sore Throat
A sore throat is described as a pain, discomfort, scratchiness, or irritation in the throat which gradually worsens or is aggravated during activities like swallowing or talking. The commonest cause of a sore throat is due to a viral infection. The condition is usually self limiting and resolves on its own. Other symptoms that may accompany a sore throat include a cough, fever, body aches, nausea, vomiting, runny nose, or sneezing.
When your child is experiencing difficulty breathing, earache, blood in saliva, lump in the neck, hoarseness more than two weeks, or a severe sore throat lasting more than a week, you should seek medical attention.
