Symptom #6: Coryza
Coryza is also known as rhinitis. It is an inflammation and irritation of the mucous membranes of the nose caused by irritants, allergens, viruses, or bacteria. The commonest cause of coryza is due to allergies which is usually caused by airborne allergens like dander and pollen.
Rhinitis symptoms include sneezing, coughing, headache, nasal itching, malaise, cognitive impairment, and fatigue. There may also be watery and reddened eyes. Management of coryza is usually to alleviate symptoms and depends on the underlying cause.
