Cause #9: Immune Thrombocytopenia
The platelets that derive from bone marrow clot together in cases of cuts or breaks to seal the breakage and stop further bleeding. In cases of immune thrombocytopenia, the levels of platelets are so low that they can´t clot as they should.
Without the needed level of platelets to stop bleedings, internal or external bleeding may occur and the body can´t stop it on its own. The immune thrombocytopenia is divided into three types: chronic, long-term, or acute/short-term. It isn´t a serious condition as it usually goes away by itself after a couple of weeks.
