Out of all the many positive benefits of drinking green tea many will be running to grab a cup of green tea for its anti-aging effects. We are a society that wants to look forever young, and green tea is very popular for its anti-aging properties. Collagen is the main structural protein found in skin and keeps skin young and healthy looking. As we age, collagen declines in the skin making the skin more prone to stretching and wrinkles. Interesting new research has found evidence that green tea can possibly block collagen aging. One study conducted on mice over a 10-month period of time, found delay in collagen aging by the antioxidant mechanism of green tea [[11]].
