8. What Should You Do If You Experience Unexpected Chest Pain After Diagnosis?
While all chest pain can be alarming, it doesn’t always mean a heart attack is imminent, especially when you have stable angina. However, if you experienced prolonged chest pain lasting more than a few minutes, then you should call 911. While it is possible the pain is a symptom of your angina, prolonged instances of pain are symptomatic of a potential heart attack, and since angina patients are at higher risk, they should seek medical assistance.
