Symptom #3: Skin Tags

We are prone to developing imperfections on our skin as we get older. While they can be unsightly, they are usually harmless. One such imperfection is skin tags, which are small growths that often appear as though they are hanging from the skin. They are most common in people that are middle aged and obese.

Skin tags are also a fairly common symptom of insulin resistance. They are most likely to be found on armpits, eyelids and on the neck. While they are harmless, many people choose to have them removed for esthetic purposes. It is best to go to a skin clinic or other medical facility to have this done.
