Symptom #9: Blindness
For those of us who are fortunate enough to have full eyesight, it can be difficult to imagine life without it. Without our eyes, we would need to change so much about how we live. Loss of eyesight will cause many people to become completely dependent on others. This makes it extremely important to take care of our eyesight, but some illnesses can make us blind.
If left untreated, leprosy can cause damage to the optic nerve, causing us to lose our sight. It can also cause iritis which is when the iris becomes inflamed and irritable. Because our eyes are so precious to us, you should see a doctor as soon as any associated symptoms arise.
