Cause Of A Stiff Neck #3: Grinding Teeth

Many people grind their teeth, for various reasons, and a lot of the time people don’t even realize that they are doing it. This can cause permanent damage to the teeth while it can also cause pain in the area around the jaws, and this includes a stiff neck.

Such grinding of the teeth will often take place when the patient is sleeping. This is a condition that is known as bruxism and is often considered to be a dental condition. If you do wake up regularly with a stiff neck and other discomfort in the area, you may need to book an appointment with your dentist to get the problem fixed.
