Symptom #4: Dehydration
As already mentioned, water is very important for us. We will fall quite ill if we don’t have enough and a prolonged lack of water may well result in death. For most people, this is not a problem because water is readily available in one form or another. We can still become dehydrated, though.
As already mentioned, patients with Clostridium difficile can experience vomiting and diarrhea as symptoms. These will mean that the patient is expelling more fluids than usual, and this can mean that they becoming dehydrated. It is not usually something to be overly concerned about, but vulnerable people should be closely monitored.
