Symptom #2: Diarrhea
Our body needs water and we will only be able to live for a few days if we don’t drink any. We get it both from the fluids that we drink and from the food that we eat. It is gradually absorbed into our bloodstream by our digestive system as our food and drink pass through.
Absorbing water is not a fast process, so the system needs some time to get what it needs. In cases of Clostridium difficile, however, the upset stomach is going to be passing food and drink through the system faster than usual. This means that less water will have been absorbed, resulting in watery stools in a condition known as diarrhea.
