Home Remedy #10: Ginger

Ginger has been used as a treatment for ailments for hundreds, even thousands, of years. It was probably the Chinese that first started using it as it was noticed that the root has anti-inflammatory properties. This makes it very effective in helping to reduce the amount of pain that is caused by gout.

One way to use ginger as a remedy is to take a cup of boiling water and mix half a teaspoon of ginger root powder into it. Drink this once a day and your symptoms could soon begin to subside. You can also try mixing ginger root with water to make a paste and then apply this to the affected area for around 30 minutes.
