10 Colorectal Cancer Symptoms

Symptom #2: Dark Stools

The color of our stools is influenced by various pigments that are a part of the digestive process. This means that they tend to be light/dark brown in color, although they can also be affected by what we eat. If your stools are consistently a much darker color than usual, though, it could be because you have colorectal cancer.

Colorectal cancer can cause bleeding inside the colon, causing blood to mix in with feces. This will likely cause the stools to appear much darker in color and blood can also sometimes be clearly visible. This is not normal and is something that should be checked out.
