7. Short Height

People come in all shapes and sizes, and this helps to make us more interesting as a species. Some are short or tall, others are fat or thin, and there is even a range in different body shapes. These are mostly hereditary so, for example, two relatively tall parents are more likely to have tall children. Certain genetic abnormalities can also have an impact. People with DiGeorge syndrome are likely to be shorter on average than other people. This applies to children, and adults will also be shorter than average. Some people with the condition will still grow to be a standard height.
