Spoken human languages are incredibly complex. Even the average person will have a vocabulary of tens of thousands of words and it takes a great deal of coordination for us to make the sounds that we do. We start learning from a very young age, but learning is harder for some children than others. Children with DiGeorge symptom are likely to start talking later than other children do. When they do start talking, they will also tend to have a nasal sounding voice. People with the condition are also often likely to suffer from hearing problems and are likely to develop frequent ear infections.
