Symptom #6: Fever
If you have a fever then there’s a good chance that you have an infection somewhere. This is because a fever is one of our main defenses against pathogens that might manage to get into the body. A fever makes the body too hot for a pathogen to thrive and survive, slowing or even killing them.
An infection in the digestive organs can cause quite a lot of problems. It can impair the full function of the liver, for example, hindering its ability to break down bilirubin. This means that a fever is a sign that you might just be suffering from jaundice.
