2. Rik Smits 7’4”
Rik Smits (the Dunking Dutchman) was born in Eindhoven in the Netherlands. He played college football for the Marist Red Foxes in New York and was the 2nd pick overall for the NBA draft in 1988 when he was selected by the Indiana Pacers.

Smits played his whole career with the Pacers where he was successful. He was in the NBA All-Rookie first team in 1989, NBA All-Star in 1998, and won FIBA European selection. His career would likely have been even more successful if it were not for nerve damage in his feet that plagued his career. At 7’4”, he was the joint 9th tallest basketball player alongside Ralph Sampson.
