Symptom #2: Stroke
A stroke is a serous complication that occurs when a blood vessel that leads to the brain is blocked, or if there is bleeding in the brain (also known as a hemorrhage). Strokes can cause confusion, headaches, weakness and lethargy, numbness in the body, vision problems, and difficulty with muscle coordination.
Generally, people with sleep apnea don’t experience seizures unless the condition has gone unaddressed and untreated for quite a long time. People who naturally have high blood pressure or who have a family history of strokes are more likely to experience a stroke from sleep apnea.
