Symptom #2: Hair Loss
Our hair provides various evolutionary advantages. The hair on our heads help provide insulation or, alternatively, help protect our head from the rays of the sun. Other hair, such as eyebrows, help prevent fluid from getting into our eyes, while hairs can also act as a trigger that helps detect unwanted parasites and insects.
People with leprosy can find that their hair will begin to fall out, particularly the eyelashes and eyebrows. This is clearly visible and is not something that the patient is likely to miss. Hair loss can be caused by a wide range of conditions and it is a good idea to get it checked out.
