No part of the body is completely safe from cancer. We are making progress in the fight against it but we still have a lot to learn. While some forms of cancer can be treated successfully, others are much harder to treat.

Cancer of certain internal organs is particularly difficult to recover from. However, it is possible to recover from bowel cancer, and many people do go on to live long and happy lives.

Your chances of survival, however, depend heavily on just how advanced the cancer is when it is discovered. This means it is a good idea to know what to look out for.

Symptom #1: Abdominal Pain

We all experience pain in the stomach from time to time. Usually, we will head out to a pharmacy for some remedies or maybe just grin and bear it until it passes. It is often caused by eating certain foods and is usually not something to worry about. If the pain is severe enough, though, then you should take it very seriously indeed.

The kind of pain that bowel cancer will cause is likely to be somewhat different from a standard upset stomach. If you are unsure then you should consider speaking with your doctor regardless. It is best to be safe than sorry.
