Fluid-Filled Blisters

Most cases of impetigo are considered to be non-bullous impetigo, but in less common cases, people experience bullous impetigo. Those who have bullous impetigo typically encounter some different symptoms, including large fluid-filled blisters and a higher chance of experiencing fevers and swollen glands.4NHS Inform. ‘Impetigo Symptoms and Treatments.’ NHS Inform, 2021, www.nhsinform.scot/illnesses-and-conditions/infections-and-poisoning/impetigo

Blisters in bullous impetigo are typically 1 to 2cm in size and spread quickly. As with the sores in non-bullous impetigo, they may be somewhat painful, itchy and highly contagious.4NHS Inform. ‘Impetigo Symptoms and Treatments.’ NHS Inform, 2021, www.nhsinform.scot/illnesses-and-conditions/infections-and-poisoning/impetigo
