9. The USS Lexington, Corpus Christi

Aircraft Carriers are very impressive structures and at Corpus Christi, Texas, you get to see one up close. Here you will find the USS Lexington, an aircraft carrier that was launched in 1943 and served in WWII. It is now a floating museum, giving visitors a glimpse into what it would have been like to live and work on one of these enormous vessels.

As a visitor, you will get to see inside the ship and get an idea of the living conditions on board. You will also get to see the bridge and also get close to some of the aircraft that would have been launched from the ship.
