Non-Shedding Dog Breed #9: Bullmastiff

There are many dog breeds that make good guard dogs, but few are bred for that particular purpose. Bullmastiffs, however, were bred specifically to be guard dogs, and it is a job at which they excel. They are strong, fast, and brave dogs that will never shirk from their responsibilities.

Bullmastiffs make excellent guardians, but they do need strong, experienced owners. Despite their size and power, they are not particularly demanding and might even be considered lazy—until they spring into action. They are suitable for having around in a home, and they do not shed their coats.
